Science encourages curiosity, discovery, and innovation whether students are in or out of the classroom. Science is an important part in applying knowledge and understanding how the natural world works all around us. With core subjects, such as reading and math, being given such emphasis in schools, there seems to be little time for interactive science.
At Science Learning Lab, LLC., we strive to develop lessons that will engage students by encouraging hands-on inquiry and assist teachers in meeting their science standards. Lessons can be tailored to each school, or homeschool, curriculum allowing for an interdisciplinary approach. We also work with after school programs, early learning centers, and scout groups to meet their needs.
An hour in a Science Learning Lab lesson is very busy! After the topic introduction, we jump right into activities that allow students to visualize the lesson. If it is pollination, students are experiencing how to pollinate! If the topic is learning about decomposers, students are observing and touching live worms! With our time visiting a group, students will learn how to make predictions, collect and record data, make conclusions, and experience how certain things work in nature and around us. We can customize any lesson to make the best experience for any learner!
